Federation of Associations of Staff Shareholders in Thales

FAST (Federation of Associations of Staff Shareholders in Thales) acts as an interface between the employees of THALES who have obtained shares through one of the company share offerings and Thales. It consists of a number of associations from those countries who have participated in the employee share offers. FAST operates according to a set of statutes

Six countries were involved in the first share issue in 1998 and five more associations were formed in Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, UK and Australia. In 2000 a further ten countries took part in the second share issue and so associations were founded in those countries as well. These countries were Singapore, Japan, South Africa, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Canada and USA. In 2002 two further countries Greece and South Korea were invited to participate in the third share offer.

To achieve coordination of the employee shareholder efforts and to represent the movement both within and outside the Group, a federation was created called FAST, based in Belgium (to show its international nature). The chairmen of the country associations belong to FAST which has an executive committee composed of:-

JanBart Jaspaert, Chairman
Jean-Claude Duchêne, Treasurer
Chera Bekker, Secretary

FAST is a member of the European Federation of Employee Share Ownership (EFES).
