Selling Shares

You can only sell Thales shares obtained in the 1998 and 2000 share schemes.

To sell Thales shares obtained in one of the employee share schemes, you need to either ring the HBOS helpline (020 8409 2629) and request a share sales form, or download the appropriate form (1998/2000 form or SIP form). You will need to complete the form, sign it and send by fax or post to HBOS, the share trustees. If you require any help in completing the form, including the conditions associated with the request to sell shares, you should contact HBOS.

Note that all share sales are subject to a stockbroker’s commission which is calculated as an amount dependent on the gross sale proceeds.

  • Sales for 1998/2000 offer - Societe Generale - cost is 0.3% plus 22.87 euros (+ £7 conversion cost to sterling)

  • Sales for 2004 offer (SIP deals) - these deals are done in sterling with Exane - cost of 0.1% or 50 euros per deal, whichever is the higher.

Thales shares are normally blocked from sale during the period of the AGM (usually May/June). Please contact HBOS on the dedicated Thales help line number, prior to sending your sale request for confirmation of this and other closed periods for selling shares.

ALL SALE INSTRUCTIONS RECEIVED BY THE TRUSTEE ARE IRREVOCABLE.
