About

TUES (THALES UK Employee Shareholders) acts as an interface between the UK employees of THALES who have obtained shares through one of the company share offerings and Thales. It consists of representatives from a representative cross-section of THALES companies in the UK who represent employees and ex-employees shareholders. TUES operates according to a set of statutes. TUES does not represent those employees who have received options to buy shares under the company's various stock option schemes. Instead Thales provides assistance here.

TUES is one of the original six shareholder associations, the others having been formed in France, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Australia. These countries were involved in the first share issue in 1998. To achieve coordination of the employee shareholder efforts and to represent the movement both within and outside the Group, a federation was created called FAST, based in Belgium (to show its international nature). The chairmen of the country associations belong to FAST.

A further ten countries became eligible to join FAST when their employees subscribed to shares in the 2000 share issue. These countries were Singapore, Japan, South Africa, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Canada and USA. Employees in Korea and Greece were included in the 2002 share issue. A further share issue was made in 2004.  The most recent share scheme was in early 2008.
